Experimented with a number of ideas and layouts, keeping in mind that there is two sides to every board!
What was the best layout for the illustration? How could I fit in the illustration and the logo, what is the best composition?
From here I chose two different styles to take further, the collage effect and to have just a large bit of the illustration on the bottom with the logo and have the whole illustration & logo on top...
I was torn between the two, I was really fond of the cleanness of the mostly white boards but then liked the street art style collage, Could I find a middle ground...
Erm yes! This is the final proposed design for the first snowboard. Took longer than expected but now having this down will speed up the process of designing the rest of the boards. Got a strong, busy bottom board, then the top of the design cleaner, having the illustration in full and some extra bits of matching illustration. One thing I need to add is the type / description of the board, maybe in correlation with the logo.
