Calendar Development

My first illustrator designed calendars. I think they look pretty strong and bold, holding true to my original thoughts and ideas! Out of the two i thought the logo used was the most effective however i do want to use the other one aswell as, whether it be on the back or design an effective composition of the two together! Problems i came across, whether or not to include the artists logos, i think if i am to use these i will need to re-create the logos so i can control the colour and that of them. Furthermore how many websites should i include and where do they best fit in the layout of the design. Also
where is the most appropriate place to fit the month and furthermore do i include the day in the designs? Things to ponder and play around with! I like the colour scheme here though! However saying this i dont want to print onto plain white stock, bit boring. As i previously said i would like the calendar to atleast look as though it had been screenprinted, making it two tone, whether that be stock paper plus 2 colours or simply stock and black or vice versa! Reasoning behind this being, cost effective and also could make it look bit more hand crafted / personal / friendly. So with this in mind i went on to take one colour and see what happens!

Taking the previous design into a screen print / two tone design. Using a red / coral colour which would be for July or a hot / warm month. With this being said i dont know why it says january, il change that! Its quite nice but does look better in the original colours, develop it to look good in two tone...

Development of the design, playing with using both of the logos, trying my best to make the two sit comfortably together. From these the one that works the most is when the smaller design is in line with the MTA design in the bottom left corner.
Important part of the calendar is the month, as they are released every month i want it to be one of the first thing that viewer will read, so iv made it quite large, keeping it bold with the * either side grabbing attention emphasising it. Also came to the conclusion that the 'Presents///' wasn't necessary so i ditched it! Not yet feel as though there is a strong winning result out of these so i shall continue to develop it.
