From starting to create my videos and coming to a near finished result with some of them, i found that i wanted to add extra audio other than the quote itself.
My reason being is that the video would either start silent or end silent which i didnt like and isn't very professional in terms of existing idents.
So i have chosen to use songs from the selected film for each ident. All of the films mostly have a really good soundtrack, with the majority of them being American rock & late 70's music.
Also with using songs from the actual films it gives it a bit more authenticity and the audience should be able to recognize the song if they have seen the films before.
So far i have chosen...
Anchorman - Treat her like a lady, The Cornelious Brothers
I chose this purely because the quote i used for the ident has the song already playing in the background.
Step Brothers - A-Punk, Vampire Weekend
I chose this song as it is from the film, its quick paced and cheerful! Which goes well with the pace of the quote and the subject of the ident.
Blades of Glory - The Stroke, Billy Squier
This is the song that Ferrell's character first ice skates too, its loud, in your face and catchy, suiting the film and chosen quote. BOOM!
