The obvious thing would be to include some form of heart into the design but I didn't want to be that blatent with it and having a heart would be a bit girly like.
From looking at the guy more closely, his clothes / the boards he rides and has ridden came up with the idea of having a straight, geo-metric shapes to loosely represent the shape of a heart...
